As a lay counselor in church, I worked with teens & adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse. I also had the privilege to come alongside members of the church in life crises & losses as a Pastor's wife for 16 years. I went to Liberty University, receiving my Bachelor's degree in Psychology in 2003, and my Masters of Social Work degree from The Ohio State University in 2010. I've provided professional, faith-based counseling since graduation for: Anxiety, Depression, Grief/Loss, Infertility, Ministry leader issues, Relationships, Sexual abuse/trafficking, Trauma, Veteran issues for Youth & Adults.
I use an eclectic approach with cognitive behavioral orientation and trauma-informed interventions, as well as emphasize the importance of how faith, prayer and Scripture apply to our situations. I provide a safe place to sort through heartaches and hardships.
I believe in the importance of finding, developing, and appreciating the unique God-given qualities & strengths we possess to live our best lives. I believe we are created and designed by God and have the capacity to partner with Him to grow. I believe He is a faithful Comforter & Helper.
